 Who would have thought a week ago that I would be trapped until Tuesday 20^th April in Holland because of a volcano but that is what has happened, I have checked all the options Eurostar, ferry’s etc. but no good, my final plea for help is via Twitter but we will see if the power of the tweet pays off . I was very much looking forward to attending the SharePoint Evolution conference in London, the people that I feel the most sorry for regarding the event are Steve Smith and his team at Combined Knowledge who last year organised a superb event and I am sure that the conference this year will be bigger and better.

 But as it has turned out attendees and speakers are stuck all around the world and unable to get to London but the good news regarding the conference is that Steve has started putting alternative plans into action and also the session DVD will still be sent out post conference. Hopefully we will get a best practice conference in the UK in 2011.

  Last April myself and the whole SharePoint team from Twynham attended the Best Practice Conference in London and the time is fast approaching for this year’s event. The 2009 event was superbly organised and the 2010 version looks bigger and better with six tracks to choose from including:-

The list of speakers at the Evolution conference looks equally impressive and I am very pleased to see the education community is well represented with the likes of Alex Pearce, Matt Hughes and Richard Willis amongst the 67 confirmed speakers. So if you decide to attend any SharePoint event this year I can highly recommend the SharePoint Evolution Conference. Myself and Chris will be attending and posting blogs each night on the highlights of the day. So hopefully we will see you there.
